Uniformed Public Services - (National Diploma, First Diploma, Foundation)

Public Service courses aim to develop you as a person. The main areas we concentrate on are Teamwork, Leadership and Communications. Outdoor activities are used as part of this process and expect to get wet, cold and dirty at times. Fitness is also important and is a compulsory part of your course.

All courses have no formal exams, there are externally set assignments but the course is 100% assessed by course work. You must be prepared to work hard.

By the end of the course you will be a more disciplined and rounded individual have the confidence to meet the challenge of the selection process for your chosen career.

Entry requirements;

Level 1 a range of GCSEs E – G
Level 2 a minimum of 4 grade Ds at GCSE
Level 3 a minimum of 5 grade Cs at GCSE

Advanced Diploma for Public Services

Entry requirements will be 5 GCSEs grade C (English & Maths expected) plus interview.

The overall purpose of Public Services is to develop, maintain and protect society. The sectors included in the scope of the Diploma are:

• Developing our communities.
• Maintaining health and well-being in our community.
• Protecting our communities.
• Working in the public sector.

The Advanced Diploma for Public Services is equivalent to 3.5 A levels.
