History - AS/A2
History is an amazingly informative subject to study. It gives an insight into the
personalities of some of the most interesting characters. History allows students to reach an understanding of events in the modern world by analysing its past and using these judgements to form reasoned conclusions.
History is an extremely well received A level both by university admissions officers and also in the world of work. An A level in History informs that you are capable of careful analysis and that you possess a fair amount of intellectual ability.

During my first year at HC
I have been on the 'Go Ape' trip and
taken the Driving Theory Test as part of
my enrichment activities. In the future I
would like to go to university and
eventually join the Police Force."
