NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing
This course includes all aspects of Hairdressing. Units include Consultation, Client
Care, Shampooing,Conditioning, Styling, Colouring, Perming, Reception Work,Health
& Safety and Create Positive Impressions.
Progression: Students can progress onto employment andfurther training within the
industry.
NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy
The course covers all aspects of Beauty Therapy including Manicure, Pedicure, Facial
Treatments, Waxing, Lash & Brow Treatments, Health & Safety and Reception
Skills.
Progression: NVQ Level 3 in General Beauty Therapy, NVQ Level 3 in Nail Technician,
Diploma in Holistic Therapies.
NVQ Level 3 in Spa Therapies
Full-time programme including one evening a week. We expect
students to have a part-time job. Successful completion of
level 2 Beauty Therapy and either 5 Cs at GCSE or equivalent
key skills need to progress onto this course.
This course covers:
• Contribute to the financial effectiveness of the business.
• Provide head and body massage.
• Set up, monitor and shut down water, temperature and spa
facilties.
• Provide specialist spa treatments.
• Improve body condition using electro therapy.
• Improve face and skin condition using electro therapy.
• Provide Indian head massage treatment.
• Provide massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils.
• Provide self tanning treatments.
• Microdermabrasion.
Progression: Full-time employment or university. Foundation,
Degree in Spa Management.
