Biology & Human Biology - AS/A2

The rapid rate of scientific changes now taking place in biotechnology, genetics and pharmacy suggest that we need to have a much better knowledge of matters biological.This course grounds students in all the main concepts while also allowing some scope to delve into the more commercial and industrial aspects of modern biology and human biology.

The course fits into careers such as pharmacy, pharmacology, genetics, biochemistry, medicine and veterinary science, to name but a few. The modular structure is attractive to students as is the course work project element. In addition to the minimum entry requirements, applicants for this course must have GCSE grade B in Biology or dual award Science.
