Key Dates
October - December
We’ll be visiting your school to tell you about the College and student life.
November
Open Evening is in November. Come along and meet the Tutors, find out about college life and take part in demonstrations and experiments. At the Open Evening you will be able to complete an application form and make an appointment for an interview before Christmas. Interviews are an opportunity for you to discuss your future with our College Tutors. They are friendly and informal and you can bring your 'Progress File' with you.
January
You can send in your application from November onwards. We need an indication of the GCSE grades you expect to achieve. We will hold a further Open Day in January
for all prospective students and anyone who couldn't
visit us in November. Watch out for an invitation in the post.
March
Hyde Clarendon has become increasingly popular with school leavers and for that reason we set a date for receipt of applications. Please return your completed application form to your School Careers Tutor or the College.
March - May
Interviews continue and there are a number of taster events when you can come in and get a feel for college life. You will also get the chance to take part in GCSE revision days. Details will be sent to all prospective students nearer the time.
June/July
You will be invited to the College for a welcome event, to get to know the other students who have been offered a place at the college and to talk to tutors before starting in September.
August - Results day
There are College staff and Careers Advisers in College on GCSE Results day and for the following few days. These staff will provide support and guidance to all prospective students.
